Fraser log cabin, watch demonstrations,
"chink" the walls of model log cabins, and

Author Suzanne Knauss will present her
recently published book, Culinary History of
a Pacific Northwest Town: Bellevue,
Washington. Bellevue's culinary timeline
reflects culinary trends occurring throughout
America, but the difference is in the
details. The presentation will feature a
slide show and include stories about
Bellevue's increasing diversification and
sophistication of food tastes; urbanization,
globalization, the return to local farmers
markets, and how food can provide a cultural
bridge in today's community life.

Celebration Farm Tour

The 9th Annual Harvest Celebration Farm Tour
provides an opportunity for citizens of King
County to experience the vitality of local
agriculture, to learn the importance of
supporting farmers, and to realize the value
and joy of eating locally grown food. Take
advantage of this chance to meet farmers at
south and east King County farms, taste
produce samples; watch cooking demonstrations
by local chefs, and walk the fields to pick
your own vegetables, flowers and pumpkins.

September 29
Park Bench is an interactive live theater
piece that is unpredictable, mobile, and
personalized. A small flatbed truck will be
outfitted with sod, a tree, and a park bench.
People who pass by will be asked to "sit on
the park bench" and participate in the

The first major survey on the photographic
and conceptual work of artist Dinh Q. Lê, who
creates unique woven photographic works
exploring personal and cultural identities in

from both public and private collections
nationwide, spans 15 years of creative

One of the most innovative craftsmen working
in North America today; by combining found
objects with his skills in conceptual design
and fine craftsmanship, Peteran creates

signifies the sculptural aspect of his
work.

walkthrough of the exhibition A Tapestry of
Memories. Lê's puzzling photo-weavings
