"Ghostez" (1996), a danse macabre for All
Hallow's Eve to music by Ives, Saint-Saens,
Pergolesi and Funcadelic was choreographed by
Ronn Tice. "Nightmare" (World Premiere)
about a girl's scary dream that ends well is
choreographed by new Artistic Director,
Jennifer Porter. The production features new
company dancers, and dancers new to Puget
Sound.

In this one man tour-de-force comedy, Charlie
Varon imagines a farcical world where Rush
Limbaugh, fearful that he is losing a radio
ratings battle to a Latino rival, signs up
for a Spanish class in Greenwich Village. He
attends incognito and falls in love with a
woman who was once a member of the Weather
Underground. Varon plays Limbaugh, his
left-wing girlfriend and 20 other characters
in this convoluted tale.

Russel Wright (1904-1976) is widely regarded
as one of America's preeminent industrial
designers. In the 1940s and 50s his name was
known to nearly every American homemaker.
Wright's designs and concepts for a new,
relaxed style of living transformed a
generation of Americans following World War
II.

Artist Demonstration and Hands-on Workshop:
Ed Pien
Friday, October 19
4:30-5:30 pm - Free Demonstration
6-8 pm - Workshop
Ed Pien creates large-scale room
installations that transform the space into a
new environment. Check out this interactive
presentation as the artist explains and
demonstrates his technique through ink
drawing incorporating visitor participation.
Demonstration is free.
Afterwards, Pien will lead participants in a
two-hour workshop where they will cut designs
out of reflective material and iron them onto
a t-shirt. Participants in the workshop are
asked to provide their own shirt. Workshop
$20 (ages 10 +) - includes materials fee.

Classes & Auditions
The Bellevue Philharmonic has
announced open applications for Eastside
youth to perform as featured soloists with
the BPO. The "Fifth Annual Young Artists
Debut Concert" will take place on Saturday,
April 26, 2008, under the direction of Music
Director Fusao Kajima.
Music students on all instruments are invited
to apply for consideration. Requirements for
applying: (1) be a full-time student, any
grade up through high school; (2) reside or
attend school in East King County or Mercer
Island; (3) have a letter of recommendation
from their music teacher. Previous winners
may not apply again.
Music students must complete an application,
and submit a CD or audio cassette. Deadline
Friday, November 30, 2007. Request an
