Attend - the next EAC Members' meeting
check out the News on our homepage or Monthly Meetings. Email info[at]eastsidearts[dot]org to request an agenda and directions (if you don't get one from the listserv), and then just show up - refreshments are available and we love catching up with our members in person each month.
Contact - officers of the EAC
send an email to one of our general emails (see Contact Us) and an officer of the EAC will respond directly to you.
Email - join the EAC discussion list (listserv)
send a request to membership[at]eastsidearts[dot]org.
Our listserv is hosted by Google Groups, but it has restricted access and is not listed in the Google Groups Directory. You can choose to receive emails as soon as they are published or in a daily digest.
Email - EAC members
once you are subscribed to the listserv, you can send a message to the other subscribers by email to: eastside-arts-members[at]googlegroups[dot]com Please remember that the listserv is for specific communication directly between EAC members, not a public mailing list, and it should not be used for general marketing purposes. To promote your events, please include them in EAC's monthly newsletter.
Login - to the EAC website
you should have received a username and password for this site when you joined as a member. If you have forgotten or mislaid them, send an email to eastsideartscoalition[at]gmail[dot]com.
When you login with your username and password, using the link at the foot of the page, you will be able to view content for EAC Members only and to update your profile page.
Participate - in the EAC Arts Education Fair
contact Cronan at fairinfo[at]eastsidearts[dot]org and request a registration form. Read more.
Participate - in the management of EAC
Officers are elected at the Annual General Meeting in October. The Nominating Committee will start looking for candidates for office in the late summer. Speak to the President at any meeting or send an email and let the Committee know that you are interested in getting more involved. See Officers for more details.
Post - information about myself/my organization on this site
you need to login to the site with your username and password (see Login above), and then a link to Your Profile page will appear in the page footer (next to the Login/Logout link). In your Profile page you can add or change contact details, update your description, select criteria for the Directory search, upload a picture, and choose if your profile is published on the site.
Post - items for the Newsletter
The EAC Newsletter is distributed each month by email to over 350 contact addresses. It's our public face, promoting the work of our members, and of the EAC itself, to anyone interested in Eastside cultural activities.
The Newsletter lists events that will be presented on the Eastside by EAC members during the following month (details are also posted on this site).
Submissions should be emailed to newsletter[at]eastsidearts[dot]org
Deadline is noon on Thursday following the EAC monthly meeting (usually the fourth Thursday in the month)
For event listings, bear the following in mind and keep them short!
A suggested format is:
  • Name of Organization
  • Title of Event/Artist
  • Date(s) and Time
  • Location
  • One sentence Description - sum up your event in 25 words or less.
  • Contact Phone and/or Website link for tickets.
Please don't send attachments, unless requested by the editor.
You can also send: save the date items for the following month, changes of staff, current calls for performers or volunteers, and any major events or initiatives in the region which our membership should know about.
Post - events or performances to the Take Part in Art calendar
The TPIA site is an initiative of the Arts Coalition, a consortium of 175 (and counting) King County arts groups of every size and across all disciplines. Participants post their own events to the site using simple content management tools provided on the site.
An arts organization may become a participant if it meets these criteria:
1) It must be a non-profit organization based in King County; 2) Its primary mission must be arts-related; and 3) It must offer presentations -- performances, concerts, reading, screenings, etc. -- that are open to the public.
Contact Nathan Oliver at ArtsFund by e-mail to nathano[at]artsfund[dot]org and request a copy of the Arts Coalition's FAQs and Memorandum of Understanding to become a participant. (This information was updated on July 24, 2007)
Receive - a copy of the Newsletter
sign-up with your email using the subscription box on our homepage. You can change your address and unsubscribe using the links in the emailed newsletter each month.
Receive - EAC members' email
you'll need to join our listserv (see Email above).
Renew - my membership
you need to renew your membership of the EAC each year, by paying the annual dues at the appropriate level no later than the date of the January meeting (fourth Tuesday in the month).
You can check the current rates on the Member Benefits page, bring a check to give to our Treasurer at the meeting, or mail your check to the EAC Treasurer, Eastside Arts Coalition, PO Box 3244, Bellevue, WA 98009.
If you joined EAC in the final quarter of the previous year, then you will not need to renew your membership until the following January, up to 15 months from joining.
If we have not received your renewal check by March, we will consider your membership lapsed and remove your website listing and listserv subscription.

Emails are disguised to reduce spam: please replace [at] with @ and [dot] with . to send message.
